Mandate

Under the supervision of the Director of the Industrial Division, the programmer's main mandate is PLC and SCADA programming of control panels. He also participates in decision-making regarding the structure and standardization of programming and the technological choices to be used. He interacts with internal project managers and with clients. He travels (if necessary) outside the offices (mainly in Quebec) to carry out commissioning in the field.
Main tasks

- Programming programmable logic controllers, mainly Omron
- Design and program advanced graphical user interfaces (SCADA)
- Collaborate in the development of the technical solution for projects
- Support and assist other programmers in the department
- Plan and carry out internal tests
- Carry out pre-operational checks (POV) and participate in factory start-ups
- Provide technical support to customers after commissioning
- Write the operator's manual and technical reports
- Develop and maintain a lasting relationship with customers
- Participate in continuous improvement exercises and develop the solution
Skills sought

Training and certification
- DEC or BAC in electrical engineering, automated production engineering or equivalent experience
- Valid driver's license
- General health and safety on construction sites (training can be taken upon hiring if necessary)
Experience and requirements
- Proficiency in PLC (Ladder) & SCADA programming
- Knowledge of Ignition (an asset)
- Experience with Allen Bradley and/or Omron PLCs
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position
- Advanced spoken and written French
- Analytical, resourceful and independent minds
- Ability to collaborate and work in a team
- Any other task related to the position
Working conditions

- Hourly wage: According to training and experience
- Duration: Permanent, full-time
- Start date: As soon as possible, depending on the candidate's availability
- Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, daytime
