Our Automation and Controls Engineers/Specialists develop and implement solutions to optimize production processes, improve plant safety, product quality, and production throughput. They are responsible for controls standards, PLC/HMI programming, equipment commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting of control system issues and project support. We’re looking for an Automation & Controls to join our sawmill facility located in High Level, Alberta. Our High Level Lumber Division safely and sustainably produces forest products forâ¯customers around the world so they can build their homes and their communities.
Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
- A qualified Trades Certification with relevant experience, an Engineering degree, or an Engineering Technical Diploma.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment (forest products manufacturing preferred).
- Experience with PLC programming such as Allen Bradley, HMI or Rockwell (Rockwell Studio 5000 preferred).
- Experience with Human Machine Interfaces.
- Proficient with FactoryTalk software (View, Linx, AssetCentre, etc.).
- Experience with industrial machine automation.
