Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and optimize mechanical systems and equipment used in the production of twisted wire brushes.
  • Automate manual processes including wire feeding, twisting and trimming using PLCs, sensors, and motion control systems.
  • Work closely with operators and technicians to identify bottlenecks and develop mechanical or automated solutions.
  • Integrate robotics and custom automation cells into existing production lines.
  • Create and maintain CAD models and technical drawings for mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Support the setup, commissioning, and troubleshooting of new machinery and automation solutions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and ROI analysis for automation projects.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors for custom machine design and component sourcing.
  • Ensure all mechanical and automation designs comply with safety standards and quality requirements.
  • Continuously monitor machine performance data to identify trends and implement improvements.
Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field.

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical design and/or automation within a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with twisted wire brush machinery or related forming/wire-processing equipment is a strong advantage.
  • Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, or AutoCAD).
  • Hands-on experience with PLCs (e.g. Siemens, Allen-Bradley), pneumatic systems, and motion control.
  • Knowledge of production line integration and process flow optimization.

Skills:

  • Strong problem solving-solving skills and troubleshooting ability.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
