Colt’s sheet metal Coil Handling equipment includes: Uncoilers, Reels, Decoilers, Straighteners, Feeders, Cut-to-Length Lines, Space Saver Feed Lines, etc.

Colt Automation builds complete coil Feed Line solutions, processing a variety of materials from AHSS to Aluminum (and everything in between). Coil Widths: 6″ to 84″. Coil Weights: from 1,000 lbs. to 80,000 lbs.

In order to build long lasting and efficiently made products, it takes an enthusiast team of experts from a variety of departments to accomplish the collective goal together.

Panel builder, must be able to wire machines as per schematics, troubleshooting abilities, knowledge of safety wiring, PLC, VFD, etc.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Installs and repairs electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in buildings
  • Installs conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables
  • Ensures piping complies with electrical codes
  • Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them
  • Connects electrical systems to powerlines to provide electricity to the building
  • Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation
  • Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed
  • Replaces conduit and wiring as needed
  • Replaces circuit breakers as needed
  • Maintain a safe and non-hazardous work environment at all times
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Ability to read blueprints 
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring 
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools 
  • Pride in work and work environment
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Flexibility, being able to handle multiple tasks
  • Attention to detail
  • Team Player, good attitude
  • Proactive and motivated
  • Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits 
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship and valid electricians license required 
  • Previous experience reading, interpreting and following electrical power schematics and blueprints
