Job Description

As the International Business Travel and Immigration Lead, you will manage our Business Travel and Global Immigration program. Your role will involve consulting with employees, managers, and third-party immigration attorneys to ensure compliance with international business travel regulations, including immigration and tax requirements. You will report to our Manager Global Mobility and work a hybrid schedule based at our headquarters in Milwaukee, WI.

Your Responsibilities:

Policy Development and Compliance:

  • Develop and maintain immigration policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with international travel, immigration, and tax regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with immigration laws and company policies.
  • Find and address risks associated with international business travel.

Consultation and Support:

  • Provide guidance to employees and managers on mobility policies and practices.
  • Address inquiries and resolve issues related to international business travel and immigration.
  • Provide expert knowledge on processes and offer daily support for any questions or issues that arise.

Immigration Management:

  • Partner with immigration attorneys to prepare and submit immigration applications.
  • Monitor the progress of immigration cases and ensure resolution.
  • Oversee the supplier to ensure delivery of services.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work with HR, legal, and finance and corporate tax teams to align mobility strategies with our goals.
  • Facilitate communication between all partners to ensure smooth operations.
  • Collaborate with the departments to identify opportunities and support speed to deployment requirements.

Training and Updates:

  • Conduct training sessions for employees and managers on business travel and immigration procedures.
  • Stay updated on changes in immigration laws and regulations and communicate these changes to relevant parties.
  • Keep us and employees up to speed on geopolitical dynamics affecting travel.

Data Management and Reporting:

  • Manage and analyze data related to international travel and immigration.
  • Prepare reports for senior management on program performance and compliance metrics.
  • Provide regular reporting to business leaders regarding compliance, volume, and cost metrics.

Additional Support:

  • Support the mobility team with downstream services such as Certificate of Coverage, salary uplifts, and posted worker directives.
  • Maintain up-to-date operational knowledge of the laws, regulations, and procedures used in processing immigration related cases and educate partners.
  • Identify and advise on any issues related to immigration compliance irregularities, possible legal violations.
  • Maintain internal guidelines, policies, and procedures related to immigration to assist internal partners with the immigration process.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • 8+ years of global corporate immigration experience.
  • Working knowledge global immigration, including US immigration
  • Experience applying best practices to improve processes and experiences for employees, managers, and HR.
  • Project management experience.
  • Understanding of international tax
  • Experience developing partnerships with all levels within the organization.
