Job Brief
To control manage and coordinate inventory, shipping and receiving of all products to and from RBT. To control the handling, inspection and storage of all products received within RBT.
Capabilities
An Inventory, Shipper and Receiver assists with managing warehouse operations, help in decision-making, and offer support to team members. While they may seek guidance, their contributions help maintain productivity and uphold quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Inventory Job Duties
- Sort incoming inventory material and allocate accordingly
- Manages spare parts inventory or storage
- Maintain stock levels and adjust based on current usage
- Populate new stock items into the system (and remove obsolete ones)
- Pick items from Inventory for upcoming projects (Batch Preparation)
- Allocate items to the correct project
- Work with Operations to source material from our Inventory in order to complete projects on time
- Sort leftover material from projects and coordinate returns efforts. NCF Process
- Add to inventory any material that cannot be returned
- Coordinate efforts at year end to count all inventory and organize spreadsheets for accounting department. (periodic inventory checks / spot audits)
Shipping Job Duties
- Controls and organizes the shipment of all outgoing products (including spare parts)
- Verifies all outgoing shipments are properly packaged and are accompanied by the required shipping documentation i.e Customs Invoice, Bill of Lading, Packing slip etc.
- Responsible for the communication of shipment tracking information between departments
- Responsible for safe handling of all outgoing shipments
- Ensures hazardous goods are shipped with WHMIS data
- Follows and upholds the C-TPAT guidelines
Receiving Job Duties
- Controls receipt of all incoming products / shipments
- Inspect incoming goods for damages or defects and report any discrepancies to the appropriate supplier via the NCF procedure
- Receive incoming purchased components via courier, verifying the contents against purchase orders or shipping documents to ensure accuracy and record received items into internal receiving system.
- Use of a forklift to unload large equipment in a safe manner
- Labels and organizes all incoming items according to IGC standards
- Ensures hazardous goods have WHMIS Data Sheets and are received and stored according to applicable data sheet
- Maintains customer-supplied product log, and items such as samples or non-chargeable items. Affixes Red sticker with project # and date to all customer-supplied products for identification
Miscellaneous Duties
- Pickups of various items (valid class G license required)
- Fabrication of custom wooden pallets for shipping large equipment/machinery cross border
- Cleaning of company vehicle
- Assisting with setup and tear down of internal company events
Relationship Management
- Work in conjunction with all Innovators in a respectful and inclusive manner
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with prospective and existing customers and suppliers

Qualifications
- Minimum Gr. 12 or Equivalent
- Minimum 2 Years’ Experience in a shipping/receiving role

Physical Demands
This position may require constant walking, as well as frequent crouching, kneeling and twisting. Working as the Inventory, Shipper and Receiver may require frequent cervical flexion, the chin to chest movement, as well as frequent rotation. Maximum lifting weight can reach about 50lbs, maximum carrying weight is about 40lbs and the maximum pushing and pulling weights can reach 100-150lbs. Frequent forward, above shoulder, and lateral reach may be required, as well as frequent grasping and handling. Frequent driving is necessary for this position. Working in this position requires a strong ability to work alone and self-supervise as well as the ability to supervise others. It also requires the ability to handle attention to detail, tight deadlines, responsibility and accountability and the ability to multi-task.
